Felix Day is a gift card comparison site. We do not sell gift cards, we never take a payment, and there is no account to create. That means there is very little about you for us to hold, and this page is mostly a list of the things we do not do.

We are the data controller for this website. The company is registered in Lithuania and this site serves visitors in the United States, so both US state privacy law and European data protection law can apply to what we do here.
The short version
- There are no accounts. You cannot register, so we hold no profile, no password and no email address for you.
- We never take a payment. Your card details are never typed on this site, because there is nowhere to type them.
- We never see who your gift is for. Recipient names, addresses and messages are entered on the seller’s site, not ours.
- There are no comments and nothing to upload, so nothing you write is stored here.
- We use analytics, and clicking through to a seller we work with can set a tracking cookie. Those are the only two things on this page worth reading carefully, and they are both below.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see which pages and which sellers get used, so we know what to build next. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google information about your visit — the pages you viewed, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device you used. We read it in aggregate. We do not try to work out who you are, and we could not if we wanted to.
Google is a separate controller for what it collects. Their handling of it is governed by Google’s privacy policy, not by this one.
Cookies
We set cookies for two reasons and no others: the analytics above, and crediting a purchase to us when you buy through a seller we have an agreement with. We run no advertising network, we set no advertising cookies of our own, and we do not track you across other websites.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and every browser has a way to do it. Blocking ours changes nothing about how this site works: every price, every seller and every link behaves exactly the same.
When you click through to a seller
The Buy now button goes through our own /buy-now/ address before sending you to the seller. That lets us count the click. The counter is a single running number per product — it records that a click happened, not who made it. There is no IP address in it and no record of you.
Once you arrive at the seller, you are on their site and their privacy policy applies, not ours. What you type there — your name, your card, your recipient’s details — goes to them and never comes back to us.
Where we have an affiliate agreement with a seller, the link is routed through an advertising network — Rakuten Advertising or AWIN — which sets its own cookie so a resulting purchase can be credited to us. That cookie is theirs, not ours, and their privacy policies govern it. Where there is no agreement, the link goes straight to the seller and no network cookie is set.
What our own server holds
Aggregate click counts per product, and the standard web server logs our host keeps — the sort of record every website produces, containing IP addresses, kept for a short period and used to keep the site running and secure.
Legal basis, transfers and how long we keep things
This section is the formal detail that data protection law requires. It says the same things as the rest of the page, in the words a regulator or a lawyer would look for.
Why we are allowed to do this. Analytics needs your consent under UK and EU rules. You can decline it at any time by blocking or clearing cookies in your browser, and nothing on this site behaves any differently if you do. Counting outbound clicks and keeping server logs runs on our legitimate interest in knowing which parts of the site are used and in keeping it working and secure — neither produces a record of you.
Where the data goes. Analytics data is sent to Google and processed in the United States. Google self-certifies under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has recognised as providing adequate protection — you can check its current status on Google’s own data transfer frameworks page. We transfer your data nowhere else, because we have nowhere else to send it.
How long we keep it. Analytics data is retained by Google under the retention period set on our account, after which it is deleted automatically. Outbound click counts are single running numbers per product with nothing personal in them, so they are kept indefinitely. Server logs are kept by our host for as long as they are useful for running and securing the site, and no longer.
Your rights
If you live in California, or in another US state with a comparable privacy law, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to ask for a copy, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. Exercising any of these will never get you worse treatment on this site.
In practice we hold almost nothing that identifies you, so most requests will concern data held by Google rather than by us. Write to [email protected] and we will tell you honestly what we do and do not have, and point you at whoever does.
We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.
Children
This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything about them.

When what we do changes, this page changes, and the date at the top changes with it.
